Saturday night’s season-opening Budweiser Shootout at Daytona 500 together with Daytona 500 Qualifying Presented by Kroger on Sunday afternoon generated more than 36,000 web streams at FOX TV.com.
“All
in all, the big winners were the race fans,” said MRN President and
Executive Producer David Hyatt. “We had more than 36,000 streams on
MotorRacingNetwork.com alone and haven’t gotten a final tally from our
affiliate stations which, for the first time ever, had the opportunity
to provide the broadcasts via the Internet on their own websites. We
expect a lot of fans to tune in or click on to Thursday’s Gatorade Duel
at Daytona. We encourage them to check their local station’s schedule as
well as the audio stream on FOX TV.com.”
Starting
its 43rd year of broadcasting, Motor Racing Network is even more
accessible in 2012 with the addition of live web streaming for fans to
hear MRN race broadcasts and other programming throughout the year –
available at www. FOX TV.com.
